Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger, Norway. She is professionally known as Aurora and sometimes stylized with uppercase letters like AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15th of 2015 it received a raving review from bloggers and music critics and the media. Half the World Away, by the Oasis group for John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole are just two of the artist's high-profile recordings. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is that of finding an attic piano and being awed by the music it could create. The singer began to write lyrics of her own. She acknowledges Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, along with Bjork for being among her inspirations. Her mother had told her the songs she composed might not make her famous but instead to inspire people to realize the value of themselves and their impact to this world, she started playing them on stage. The piano was first played by her when she was six years old and started writing songs by the time she was nine. It wasn't until her 14th birthday that she revealed her plans to her parents. Aurora wasn't a childhood dream. She claims that she enjoys composing music. She believes music can make anyone feel better.
